Why Do I Do This?

There comes a time in most musicians lives where they start to question why they do what they do. Sometimes we refer to it as your "why." I guess that's what I would like to share with you.
Sometimes I wonder to myself why I do what I do. I could be spending my free time relaxing, being more social, doing things that most people do and enjoy doing.
Why do I push myself the way I do? Why do I devote so much time, time that could be used to..I don't know, watch movies, play video games, visit friends, so on and so forth. Instead, I go to my studio nearly EVERY day that I get a chance to, knowing that I might walk out of there empty-handed and disappointed. I go there because everytime I do so, there is a small chance that I might create something that can not only change my life, but perhaps yours.
Some say that musicians are healers, and I also believe that if used right and effectively, music not only can be healing, but can also have an everlasting impact on one's life. Music has healed my soul and has gotten me through many hardships in my life.
After years of feeling (and ignoring) a "tug", I finally decided that I should use my God given talents to do the same for someone else, perhaps you. If you've been following along with me this far, I truly hope and pray that my music has had a positive impact on you in some form or another.
This is why I do what I do, and is my reason to fight.
